Project 3 - Linear Perspective

The point of this project was to explore the different ways lines can create illusions. We also looked at how angles affected the perspective of an onlooker. Once our lines were in place, we had to shade it by creating a light source and imagining how the light would appear in the picture. In this project, I learned how to properly shade somewhat and how to make my lines manipulate a viewers perception of the angles of my project.

Project 2 - Symbolic Representation

In this project we used created a realistic version of a symbol in the symbol itself.  In my project, I used an umbrella for a symbol. The realistic picture I created within it was a girl facing away from the picture standing in the rain using an umbrella to shield herself from the rain. I learned about the difference between symbolism and realism through this project.

Project 1 - Brut Art

I
In this project we used the letters of words that described us and made them abstract. Then we filled in the letters and negative space with line types and solid colors of either the primary color scheme or the secondary color scheme. This created brut art.
